  7. Device for determining emulsion characteristics,
  8. Potentiometric titration apparatus,
  9. Atomic absorption spectrometer,
  10. Apparatus for determining the water content in oil,
  11. Apparatus for determining the bulk density,
  12. Thermoregulated dryer,
  13. Water bath,

A trained technician performs daily sampling and testing of base oil from base-oil tanks, daily base-oil tanks, and agitators (blenders). The sample is taken using the all-level sampling method – by pulling the sampling vessel at a uniform speed through all layers of liquid from bottom to top into a glass vessel. The sample volume is 1l. The sample is transferred to the laboratory where it gets marked and homogenized using an electromagnetic stirrer. The complete transfer of the sample to the determination apparatus is then performed in the shortest possible time while the sample is homogeneous (maximum 20 min.). The sample, prepared in this way, is ready for the analysis of the physical-chemical characteristics using the standard methods:

2.Volumetric density at 15°CASTM D 1298kg ⁄ m³
3.Kinematic Viscosity at 40°CASTM D 445mm² ⁄s
4.Kinematic Viscosity at 100°CASTM D 445mm² ⁄s

After the testing, the technician records the results in:

  1. “Input raw materials quality control notebook”
  2. “Daily base-oil tanks quality control notebook (DBOT)”
  3. “A and B technological lines quality control notebook.”

The results obtained by the quality control of the input raw material are compared with the results obtained by the supplier to determine the correctness of the quality characteristics is determined. Final product samples in a volume of 1l are stored for a period of 6 months.

At the same time, we have the most modern mobile equipment that we use for fast oil diagnostics in operating conditions. Lubri-sensor is an electronic measuring instrument for testing physical and electrochemical changes in alloyed and non-alloyed liquid lubricants with mineral or synthetic basis, used in industry, vehicles (motor, hypoid, hydraulic, and so on.), and diesel fuel. With the lubri-sensor, it is possible to register the main changes in the oil: oxidation, acidity, soot, water, antifreeze, metal particles, and fuel content. The device gives the qualitative state of the oil by measuring the value of the dielectric constant compared to the new and used oil, but the samples must have the same level of quality, viscous gradation and come from the same manufacturer. The dielectric constant increases or decreases depending on the relative concentration of contaminants present in the oil.
